Countertop template coordination that times the countertop measure after the cabinets are set, shares the plan with the fabricator and avoids delays.
Countertops cannot be made until the cabinets are in, and the cabinets cannot be finished until the counters are on. The two trades depend on each other, and a gap in coordination can leave a kitchen without counters for weeks. Good coordination plans the sequence, shares the details and gets the template made at the right time.
We begin with a Free Cabinet Estimate and ask who will fabricate your countertops. We share the cabinet drawings with the fabricator early, so they can plan material and edge details. When the base cabinets are set and level, we call for the template, make sure the cabinets are ready, and keep the kitchen clear for the measurement. We then plan the plumber and the backsplash around the counter install date. Counters are one of the most visible parts of a kitchen, so timing matters. We check that cabinets are level and secure before the template, remove any items that block the measurement and confirm the sink and faucet are on site. We share the fabricator's questions with you quickly, and plan the order of work afterward so the plumber, the tile setter and the painter all arrive at the right time.
