How ordering, building, finishing and delivery fit together, and why decisions affect the schedule.
Cabinets are made to order, so they take time. After the design is approved, materials are ordered, parts are cut, boxes are assembled, doors are built, finishes are applied and everything is checked and packed. Stock cabinets may be in a warehouse and arrive quickly, while custom cabinets are built in a shop schedule. Each step has its own wait, and special order items can add more.
The biggest cause of delay is a late decision. Changing a door style or a color after ordering can restart the clock. Nashville homeowners who finalize the layout, finish and hardware early usually get the smoothest schedule. We write a schedule with each step, flag long lead items and update you as things change, so the other trades can plan around the cabinets.
The plan is drawn and approved before anything is ordered.

Boxes, doors and drawers are made in the shop.
Painting or staining and curing take time and cannot be rushed.
